Humberto Blanco

Humberto Blanco, age 71, of Robstown, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025. He was born in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on March 7, 1953, to parents Homero Blanco Olivares and Guadalupe Blanco Gonzalez.

Humberto married Mariana Hernandez on August 8, 1969, in Brownsville, Texas. He went on to have a career in the refinery industry until his eventual retirement in 2021. He enjoyed his time working at the refineries, and even worked with his brothers, son, and nephews.

Humberto was a busy man who loved living life. Some of his greatest passions in life involved fishing, being on his tractors, cutting grass on his land, raising chickens, and reading his bible by the water. Above all, Humberto loved spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren.

Friends and family will fondly reminisce on Humberto’s selfless nature. He was a kind man who always put others before himself. He loved to help those in need. He will also be missed for his sense of humor and ability in finding humor and laughter in the smallest moments.

Humberto is reunited with his beloved wife, Mariana Blanco; parents, Homero Blanco and Guadalupe Blanco; siblings, Hector Blanco, Oralia Blanco, and Homero Blanco. He leaves his memories to his children, Humberto (Mary) Blanco Jr., Norma (Kenneth) Harris, and Marco A. Blanco; four grandchildren; siblings, Olga Estrada, Hugo (Rosa) Blanco, Mario Blanco, and Sandra Blanco; sister-in-law, Oralia Blanco; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

The Blanco family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the family and friends who have offered their unwavering support and prayers during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7 PM. A Funeral Celebration will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
