Irma M. Garcia

Irma Montes Garcia, 58, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her precious son, Joshua DuWayne Garcia, brother, Jimmy “Butchie” Hayes, and father-in-law, Juan Garcia, Sr.

She was born November 22, 1952 to Norberta and Jimmy Hayes and was the devoted wife of Johnny Garcia, Jr. for forty-three wonderful years.

Irma will forever be remembered by her mother, Norberta Hayes, one brother, Freddy (Minnie) Montes, sister, Sylvia (Richard) Ortiz, and her children, Johnny (Lisa) Garcia, III, Lisette (Frank) Barron, and Mark (Krystal) Garcia; six treasured grandchildren, Dustin, Alyssa, Emily, Joshua, Matthew, and Noah and countless nieces and nephews who she adored immensely, and her caring friend, St. Jane Way.

Irma touched the lives of many people with her beautiful smile and personality and maintained her trademark of her love of cooking to the very end.

Friends and family are invited to attend a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road with visitation continuing until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011 also at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors.
