He was born in Qamishli, Syria on June 22, 1934. He was a proud man who found joy in the simplicity of life and in the times spent with his family. He was a devoted Christian and found peace and pleasure in attending Mass and singing the chants and hymns of the Syriac Orthodox Church.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Malak Afram, mother Nijme Afram, and his sisters, Virgeen and Rosa. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Georgette (Isteifo), sons Malak and Maurice (Andrea), grandchildren Gracyn and Jackson, brother Joseph (Gina), sisters Zakia, Najat and Nazlia, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel – Memorial Holly from 5PM-9M with a Memorial Prayer at 7PM.
Funeral Services will be at St. James of Nusibin Syriac Orthodox Church at 10AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 with Burial Services to follow at Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be his nephews George Ghably, Haysam Dawod, Ghali Dawod, Malak Joseph Afram, Mark Afram and David Dawod.
