Jack Junior Kiefling of Cowden, Illinois passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 96. The WWII Veteran of the US Navy (GM3/C) died of natural causes surrounded by his immediate family in Surprise, Arizona. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Covarrubias Kiefling, his daughters, Norma J. Hendricks, Laura A. Chambers, and Jennifer Kiefling Brown, his sons-in-law Richard Chambers and Christopher D. Brown, as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Jack was an honest and hard-working person who led by example and treated people the way he wanted to be treated. He had no fears as he neared the end of life saying, “The Lord has given me such a good life.” He felt so lucky to have such a nice family. He felt he had been very lucky all through life -- in his naval experience, his various jobs, and in everything he had.
Jack chose to be cremated. His ashes will be shared between his daughters and interred on the Veterans Pavilion of Honor Wall at Camino del Sol. There will be a Celebration of Jack’s Life at Memory Garden’s Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m., as well as online for those who cannot attend in person.
Please consider a donation in his honor to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (https://www.macular.org/how-donate).
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.MemoryGardensFuneralHome.com for the KIEFLING family.
