

He grew up in Fort Worth and served in World War ll. He graduated from Wheaton College and received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Washington University, St. Louis Mo. Jack moved to Corpus Christi in 1950 where he met his wife, “Dot”. They were married for 52 years. They were both active in the Downtown Baptist Church which became the Parkdale Baptist Church in 1957. Jack worked as a counselor and in mid-management in several local social work agencies: the original Nueces County Juvenile Court, State Department of Public Welfare, Youth City and Nueces County Adult Probation Department.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, his twin sister, and his brother.
He is survived by 16 nieces and nephews in Fort Worth, Houston, and Corpus Christi.
A visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend John Hardie officiating. Burial will be handled privately at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.
