February 4, 2005 – June 2, 2024
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Jake Maldonado, a courageous and loving young man who fought a 10-year battle with a brain tumor. He left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him.
Jake is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernesto and Elida Maldonado; and maternal grandparents, Hector and Sylvia Peña.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lamar (Rey); father, Esteban (Susanna); sisters, Julia and Sylvia; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his extended Driscoll family.
Jakes kindness, love, and strength inspired countless individuals throughout his journey. His passion for art, animals, and putting a smile on the faces around him will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Jake may be gone, but his love, light, and legacy will continue to guide and inspire us all. Rest in peace, dear Jake. Your memory will be a blessing to us forever.
As we gather to celebrate Jake’s life, we want to honor his vibrant spirit and love for joy. In lieu of traditional black attire, we kindly request that you wear white, teal or aquamarine – Jake’s favorite colors.
Alternatively, feel free to wear something that reminds you of him, whether it is a movie-inspired outfit, an Adam Sandler-themed accessory, or any other nod to his passions. Let us create a beautiful angelic scene that reflects Jake’s love for life, laughter, and adventure!
Thank you for your love and support.
