James graduated from Alice High School and received his CDL in Trucking from Del Mar College.
He was married to Irma Maldonado on October 1, 1999.
Jim worked as a Pump Mechanic for Citgo Petroleum for 28 years. He was a lifetime member of St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the CC Police Association. He had a passion for NASCAR and all sports.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Maldonado Coulter; stepson, James Jones and wife Amy of Pantego; children, Scott, Christy and Misty; grandchildren, Tayah Isaacs, Whitney Faith, Jason Thomas and Isabella Nicole. He was a proud great-papa to Justin and Lane.
A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date.
