

James (Jim) E. Shaw, 85, passed away on October 20, 2010. Born May 14, 1925 to Nacy Alex and Lena (Dunn) Shaw in Ruston, Louisiana, he was a retired electronics technician. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Idaho during WWII.
Preceding him in death were his parents, N.A. Shaw and Lena Shaw; three brothers, Archie, John Ross, Alex Shaw; one sister, Lucille Traylor.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Sue Shaw of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, Bruce D. (Marilyn) Shaw of Anahuac, Texas, Dale L. (Elaine) Shaw of Caldwell, Texas, Marc J. (Kellan) Shaw of Tarkington Prairie, Texas; one daughter, Jennifer Louise (John) Ballard of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Kendrick of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sybil Covington of Point Blank, Texas, Helen Louise Hodges of New Iberia, Louisiana; and numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2010 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
