Javier was a Chef at Hester’s Café for 16 years. He treasured his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He was also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Javier was preceded in death by his father, Demetrio Del Bosque; and brother, Roberto Galvan.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Silia Yanez Del Bosque; mother, Olga Del Bosque; children, Monica Del Bosque, David (Kimberly Marie) Knutson, David (Seleste) Del Bosque, Jessica Del Bosque (Ricardo) Saenz, and Julie Anne (Christian) Perez; brother, Joe Galvan; sisters, Martha Escobedo, Maria Lasater, Elizabeth (Ringo) Lamb, and Brenda Carrizales; seven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are David Knutson, David Del Bosque, Ricardo Saenz, Christian Perez, Arturo Castillo, Eddie Escobedo, Ringo Lamb, Sr., and Ringo Lamb, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Galvan.
Javi’s family wish to extend a special gratitude to the staff of Christus Hospice and Pallative Care for their wonderful care and compassion. A very special thank you to Arturo Castillo, Javi’s friend, who was like a brother to him since childhood for his continued love and support.
Please join Javier’s family in sharing in his memory at a visitation to be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 5 pm until 9 pm, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10 am with interment to follow at 11 am. All services will be at Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas.
