Jerry S. Silva

Jerry S. Silva, 74, of Katy, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31st, 2016 at the Memorial West Hospital in Katy, Texas. He was born in Corpus Christi to Margarito D. and Herminia Saenz Silva, he lived most of his life in Corpus Christi, Houston and San Jose, California.

Jerry attended Roy Miller High School then served in the US Air Force. Most of his work career was for the US Postal Service where he worked for over 30 years. He was retired and living in Katy. His spare time consisted of visiting with family, reading books and watching Football, Westerns and his Novelas on TV.

Jerry is survived by his wife Rose Silva, of San Jose, California. His children, Roger and his wife Mary, of Houston, Michelle Silva Segura and her husband Adrian, of Austin, Jerry, of Houston and Sara, of San Diego; his grandchildren, Kiley, Sol and Eli. He is also survived by his three sisters, Margarita Silva, of Katy, Mary Esquivel of Corpus Christi, and Manuela Espindola and her husband Tony, of Katy; as well as his many loving nieces, nephews and other friends.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 am with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
