Jesse Ray Baker

Jesse was a foreman in the Street Division for the City of Corpus Christi for 25 years, ultimately retiring with them. He enjoyed the outdoors, classic country and Czech music, taking care of his yard and loved to dance.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, William, Bob, Leo, Woodrow, Ruby, Faye, Nora and Violet.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Norma Lorene Humplik Chudej Baker; his children, Kimberley Baker Weise (Alex); his grandchild, Hollie Weise; his great-grandchildren, Marilynne, Askyla, Cyllian; his sister, Pauline Schwertner (Dan) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
