Jesse A. De Luna

He was born in Gonzales, TX on June 26, 1940. Jesse graduated from Gonzales, High School and was class of “59”.

He was married to Mary Escalona on June 1, 1966. Jesse worked in Sales and Delivery for Butter Krust Baking Co. and retired after 29 years. He was a member of the American Legion and had a passion for politics and his grandchildren. He was devoted to his family, loved to travel and enjoyed camping with his family. Jesse was a member of SS. Cyril Methodius Catholic Church for 45 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Feliciana A. De Luna; sisters, Janie D. Contreras and Santos D. Longoria.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Escalona; daughters, Mary Angelita D. Petrusck of Kansas, Mary Helen D. Garza and Grace De Luna of Corpus Christi, TX.; her sons, Jesse Jr. of Corpus Christi, TX and Albert De Luna of Houston TX; his sisters, Epifania D. Perez (Elias) of Mathis, TX, and Guadalupe D. Bernal; and his, brother, Pedro DeLuna of Gonzales, TX. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, extended nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, February 13, 2017 at SS Cyril Methodius Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
