Jesse Arreola Nesmith, 60 of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on September 9, 2021. On this day the world lost a bright light and all who loved him gained a guardian angel. As a devoted Catholic Jesse knew God and walked by faith. While on earth he strived to serve the lord by loving his family, serving others and trusting in God’s plan. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
Jesse was born in Mexico on March 1,1961 and at age five came to the United States and soon after became a U.S. Citizen. Jesse Nesmith graduated from Foy H. Moody High School and then attended classes at Del Mar where he earned his electrical license. Jesse practiced in the electrical field for over 32 years, during that time he became a master electrician and started his own business, Nesmith Electrical Services. Nesmith Electrical Services, served area residents for over 13 years. In addition to running a successful electrical business, Jesse also managed Tennison Kellers’ property. He was married to Ruth Nesmith on October 4, 1980. Ruth and Jesse would have celebrated 41 years of marriage this October. He was also a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and had a passion for God, life, family and his country the United States.
Jesse was a strong but loving man. He became one of the most influential people in the lives of his three daughters. As a loving father he modeled resilience, tenacity, faith, compassion and a strong work ethic. Jesse walked by faith and stayed true to his purpose here on earth. He contributed to numerous charities and organizations anonymously. He always wanted to give but never wanted the credit. Jesse always gave the glory to God. Jesse believed that since God had blessed him beyond measure it was God's will that he would use those blessings to give to others. Jesse loved the United States. He often spoke of this country as being the land of opportunity for all who seek it. While God gave him the ability to work it was all of the opportunities that were afforded to him in the United States that allowed him to live and achieve the American Dream.
Lastly, Jesse was always the life of the party. Wherever there was a crowd of laughter at a gathering Jesse was in the center of it. He loved competition, sports ,board games and a good karaoke song. He
loved to show off his vocal abilities any chance he had. He will forever be the best man his family knew. Jesse’s wise words, lessons, and acts of service are what will live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
