Jesse V. Ruiz

Jesse was born to Vicente and Antonia Ruiz, September 24, 1942, in Corpus Christi, TX. He married Leticia Ruiz and together they raised seven children.

He is survived by his wife, Leticia Ruiz; children, Jesse Ruiz Jr., Joe Rick Zuniga, Sam Ruiz, Sandra Ledesma, Mary Lou Morales, Julie (Roy)Rivera, Mark (Liz) Ruiz and Ellie Elizondo;brothers, Joe (Maria) Ruiz and Bob (Susan) Ruiz; 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vicente Ruiz and Antonia Ruiz,Eloisa Ruiz (first wife), Vicente Ruiz Jr. (brother) and his loyal companion, Bandit.

Jesse dedicated over 60 years to his work as a skilled shoe repairman at Mall Shoe Service. He found joy in simple pleasures—gambling,playing the lottery, staying active through his work, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family.

A visitation for Jesse will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road,Corpus Christi, TX 78415 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A committal will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joey Escobedo, Adam Escobedo, Marcus Escobedo,Brent Ruiz, Brennan Ruiz and Joshuah Lopez.
