Jesus P. Guerra passed away on July 29, 2011 at the age of 77. He was born on October 15, 1933 to George and Petra Guerra in Gillett, Texas. Jesus was employed by Lehman Feeders and Plow for 50 years. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Jesus will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Noel Guerra; brothers, George Jr., Thomas, and Gilbert.
Jesus is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ignacia Guerra; son, Bobby Guerra; daughter, Nora (Abel) Castro; son, Neil (Jo Ann) Guerra; grandchildren, Alexis Castro, Karissa Guerra, Lani Castro, Kaitlin Guerra, Kaylee Guerra. Also surviving him are his brothers and sisters, Rudy Guerra, Richard Guerra, Angelita Leal, Natividad De Leon and Janie Magro.
Public visitation will begin at 2:00 pm till 9:00 pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that evening. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens.
