

Jesse was born to Juan and Fidela Reyna, on September 19, 1950 in Victoria, Texas. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1969. Jesse proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and the United States Army from 1970-1978. He married the love of his life, Doralisa, and they lived together in Corpus Christi, Texas, raising their only daughter, Lisa. Jesse worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years.
Jesse was an avid sports enthusiast. He cheered on the Miller Bucs and always said, “Once a Buc, Always a Buc.” His Saturdays were spent watching college football and Sundays were designated as church first and Dallas Cowboys next. As a proud grandpa, he cheered on the London Pirates on to many victories. If his grandkids had a game or event, he was guaranteed to be there.
Jesse was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, where he served as a eucharistic minister, homebound minister, member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was a member of the Cursillio Movement #227 and Journey to Damascus #151. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith and trust in God.
Jesse was loved by many and a friend to all. He will be remembered for his zest for life, his outgoing personality, and his friendly demeanor. Jesse enjoyed the outdoors and was an excellent gardener. He loved chatting with his neighbors and made friends with all of them. He was a true “people person.” His three grandkids were the light of his life and brought him immense joy. They affectionately called him “Pa” as did all of their friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Doralisa Soliz Reyna, their daughter, Lisa Cervantes, her husband Marc Cervantes and their three children, Alissa Renee Cervantes, Ella Grace Cervantes, and Noah Marc Cervantes. He also leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Manuel (Oralia) Reyna, Lydia Gonzales, Gilbert Reyna, Mary Reyna, and Alfredo Reyna along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Fidela Reyna, brothers John C. Reyna, and Alex Reyna.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 540 Hiawatha St. Corpus Christi, TX 78405.
Pallbearers will be Bert Garza, Steve Luis PhD, Jacob Mondragon, Gilbert Reyna, Tony Reyna, and Greg Soliz.
The family would like to thank his provider, Christina Padron, his CNAs, Jesse De La Cruz and Caitlin Torres, and the staff at Angel Bright Hospice for their compassionate and tender care of Jesse during his last days. The family greatly appreciates the love and support of so many friends and family during this difficult time.
