Our Lord called home Jesus (Jesse) Sandate, Jr., on Friday, June 9, 2023, after a brief illness.
Jesse was born in 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He joins his loving parents Jesus Sandate, Sr. and Isabel Sandate and brother Carlos Sandate in everlasting peace for all eternity.
Jesse graduated from West Oso High School and attended Ranger Junior College. Jesse was a store manager for Ken Brault Auto Paint & Supply in Houston, Texas, and retired after thirty years.
Jesse will be forever remembered for his love of family. Jesse leaves behind the love of his life, his loving wife of 45 years, Irma Esparza Sandate and their two sons, Jason Sandate and Javier (Annie) Sandate. Jesse is also survived by his brothers Richard (Sofia), Henry, Robert (Alta), and sisters, Irene (Lisa) and Irma, ten nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-nephews and great-nieces.
Jesse was protective and devoted. He went the extra mile to ensure his extended family was loved and supported. Jesse also leaves behind two unofficially adopted nephews Gilbert Carrillo and Julian Carrillo and his godchildren Celeste Carrillo, A.J. Flores (affectionately called Papoose by Jesse) and Stefani Sapaugh.
Jesse will also be remembered for sharing his love of sports with others. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros and looked forward to gatherings with his family and friends. He particularly looked forward to watching Cowboys and Astros games with his sons Jason and Javier. Jesse and Irma were also passionate members of DCFH (Dallas Cowboys Fans Houston) for ten years.
His family and friends are invited to share memories of Jesse. Public visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Funeraria Del Angel, 3442 Holly Rd.,Corpus Christi, Texas and will conclude with a service at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may establish a memorial gift to a charity of your choice in memory of Jesus (Jesse) Sandate, Jr.
