Joan was a loving mother whose greatest joy was her family. She took immense pride in her children and especially delighted in watching her grandchildren grow and flourish. Her heart was filled with happiness and gratitude to live long enough to hold and love her great-grandchildren—a blessing she treasured deeply.
Joan will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the strength she shared with those around her, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family. Her family was her greatest accomplishment, and the memories she created with them will be carried forward for generations to come.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Joan is survived by her son, Brian Vedder; daughter-in-law, Alicia Wilshusen Vedder; grandchildren, Lauren Koch, Cole Vedder, and Dee Vedder; grandson-in-law, Kahlen Koch; and great-grandchildren, Brody Koch and Hudson Koch.
Services will be held at St Pius X Church, 5620 Gollihar Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78412, on August 21, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Rosary will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by the Funeral Mass from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Committal will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, at 3:30 p.m.
Joan's love lives on in the family she cherished so dearly. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she gave to so many.
