

Joann graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1984. She was a true Dallas Cowboy fan and the best mom to her children, the best sister and the best aunt anyone could ever ask for. Joann always opened her doors to anyone in need. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Dora Flores and her brother, Albert Benavides.
Joann leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Mark Solis and Esmeralda Parker; two brothers, Andres Benavides (Argie) and Ireneo Flores; five sisters, Mary (J.W.) Parker, Rosario Herrera, Luselvia (Amando) Tanguma, Gena (Hector) Lopez (whom Joann always told her that she was like a mother to her), and Sylvia (David) Cirlos.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm that evening. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the Christus Spohn Memorial 4th floor doctors and staff for the care they gave Joann in her time of need.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be her nephews, Aaron Alaniz, Albert Saucedo, Hector Lopez Jr., Daniel Lopez, Eddie Flores, Phillip Salazar, Johnny Herrera, and Rudy Herrera.
