Joel Andrew Garza

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Joel Andrew Garza, age 35, our most beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend passed suddenly on May 21, 2022. He was born on May 7, 1987 in Corpus Christi, TX. Joel was a gentle giant that shined a light on this earth. Whoever had the pleasure of knowing him, knew his sense of humor, his selflessness, and his acts of kindness. We will miss his beautiful soul as we have lost a shining light in our lives.

Anyone that truly knew him knew he had such a big heart. He will always be remembered by his beautiful smile, loud laugh, and his passion for cooking. He loved making all those around him laugh. He touched so many lives over the years with his presence and conversations; he will be dearly missed.

Joel Andrew is reunited in heaven with his grandparents Miguel and Jesusa Gonzalez and uncles Larry Gonzalez and Omar Gonzalez and is loved in heaven as well as on earth.

He will be dearly missed by his mother, Sandra Pointer; his brother, Christopher Garza, and his sister, Hillary Pointer from Corpus Christi, TX; his aunt Beatrice Ayala (Joe) of Driscoll, TX; uncles, Robert Gonzalez and Miguel Gonzalez Jr of Corpus Christi, TX; along with numerous cousins, family members, childhood friends, and anyone whose life he touched.
