John Paul is survived by his mother, Ciera Renae Valdez; father, John Paul Serrata, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Michelle and Robert Valdez; paternal grandparents, Sandra Perez, John Paul Serrata (Annette); maternal aunts, Krystal Medellin, Desyrae and Erikka Valdez; paternal aunts, Jessy Jane and Jacob Rafael Benavides; maternal great-grandparents, Juan Aguilar, Thelma Aguilar, Robert M. Valdez, Gloria Mendez (Tony); paternal great-grandparents, Jesus Perez, Maria Martinez and Jesse Serrata (Beatrice).

Special thanks to Lisa Benavides, Pattie Hahn, George Ledbetter from EPIC home health. Also, thanks to Nurses on Wheels for their hospice services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. that same evening.

Visitation will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
