Jon Michael Garza

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jon Michael Garza, age 37, on March 13, 2025. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Jon was known for his heart of gold, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. Whether he was working on a new project as a handyman or showing his love for music through freestyling, he left an impression on all who knew him.

Jon had a unique talent for doing a little bit of everything. His skills and versatility in life were as abundant as his kindness. He was the type of person who would help a friend in need without hesitation, and his generosity was evident in all that he did. Though he could be reserved at times, his love for his family was boundless, especially when it came to his cousins, with whom he shared a special bond.

He found strength and solace in reading Bible verses and inspirational quotes, often turning to them for guidance, comfort, and reassurance. His heart was always open to God’s word, and his prayers were a reflection of his profound belief in divine love and grace.

One of his greatest accomplishments was his determination to earn his GED, proving his resilience and commitment to self-improvement, even in the most difficult of circumstances. He always believed in the power of second chances and worked hard to better himself, never allowing his past to define his future.

Jon was also known for his love of food, particularly his mom’s homemade enchiladas and pizza with pepperoni and jalapeno.

He was a true ladies' man, with a charm that could light up any room. His smile and sense of humor brought laughter to countless friends and family, and his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to have known him.

Jon leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the reminder that we are all capable of growth and change. Will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his faith and loving spirit will continue to inspire and guide them.

May he rest in peace, embraced by the love of God and surrounded by peace.

A visitation for Jon will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405.
