

Jorge “Charles” De La Cerda was born on April 27, 1979, to Amelia Rodriguez and George De La Cerda. Charles passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 45, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication.
Charles is survived by his parents; his sister Amanda Garcia (Andrew); his three beloved children, Zoee Tamez, Atticus De La Cerda, and Delilah De La Cerda, who were his greatest source of pride and joy. His children carry forward his spirit, strength, and love. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father.
He is also survived by his cherished nieces, Arianna and Ava Garcia, and his nephew, Andrew Garcia, who were all deeply loved and brought him great joy. Additionally, he leaves behind many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember his infectious smile, sense of humor, and profound love for his family.
Charles proudly served in the United States Navy for 12 years, where he forged lasting bonds with his Navy family in HC-3, HSM-78, and HC-11. His courage, commitment, and unwavering loyalty to his country and his fellow service members will never be forgotten.
In his final act of generosity, Charles chose to be an organ donor, ensuring that his life and legacy would continue on through others. His gift will live on in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to receive it, a testament to his selflessness and desire to make a lasting impact.

A prayer service will occur Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:30 AM, 549 Cheyenne St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37, Corpus Christi, Texas.
