Jorge Humberto Valdez, 72, of Corpus Christi, Nesbitt Street, passed on the 28th day of July 2026. Jorge was born to Fidel Valdez and Margarita Valdez Rocha, on May 20th, 1954, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He helped raise 3 children with his 1st wife, JoAnn Horn.
He is survived by his children Jorge Humberto Valdez Jr, Joyce Samantha Valdez, Jean Melissa Valdez (Damien Cardiel), 14 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids. He also leaves to cherish his memory to his siblings, Fidel (Margarita) Valdez, Ruben (Janie) Valdez, Pedro (Maria) Valdez, Isamary Sanchez, Maria Guadalupe Saucedo, Maria Tersa Alonso, Belie (Joe) Real and various nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by, Fidel Valdez (Father), Margarita Valdez Rocha (Mother), Jose Valdez, (Brother), Doroteo Valdes, (Brother), Magarita Guevara (Sister) and Michael Rene Rosa Jr. (Grandson) Jorge worked as a heavy equipment operator with his brothers and various company for more than 30 years. He enjoyed fishing in his off time.
A viewing and services are scheduled for 7th day of August 2026, viewing for family starts at 12pm-2pm, at 1pm public may join family during viewing and stay for services. Services will start at 2pm. No burial will take place; Jorge will be cremated. Location for viewing and ceremony will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
