Jose Maria Casiano

Jose Maria Casiano passed away on August 9, 2023 at the age of 76. He was born in Denver, Colorado on August 13, 1946 to the late Alfredo Casiano and Jesusa Pena Casiano. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jose was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jose worked his entire life to provide for his family first in his childhood picking cotton in the fields. He cherished his time working at two Whataburger locations in the Galveston area as a Special Assistant when needed for his brother’s locations. Jose went onto becoming a proud HVAC Technician which he ultimately did up until recently. He never retired in life and always kept moving. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a devout Catholic. He would enjoy his time in life spent with his grandchildren at the beach fishing many early mornings together. Jose was a friendly man that could talk with anyone and never met a stranger.

Jose is reunited with his beloved parents; his daughters, Lydia Casiano Garcia, Michelle Rojas; and his brothers, George Casiano, Alfredo Casiano, Placido Casiano, Estevan Casiano.

He leaves his loving memories to his children, Lynda Casiano (Mary Garza), and Nicolasa Casiano Howard (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Betty Garza, Michael and Nikki Balderas, Alyssa and Jo Jo Casiano, Ashley and Orland Gonzalez, Santos Rojas, Israel and Amelia Rojas, Larissa and Corey Haynes, Jacob Cirilo, Brenda Garcia, Nickolas Rios; nineteen great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Eulalia Moya, Esequiel Casiano, Juan Casiano and Nicolasa Jasso. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
