Joe was an outgoing friendly guy. He knew me since I was a child and will always have a special place in my heart. He will be missed. Let his memory live on in our mind, hearts and soul. I truly promise to be the best role model and aunt to his son Jose Diaz Jr.

With love and light

I have been lucky enough to know Joe for many years. There are too many memories and adventures that Joe and I embarked on for me to put here.. For those that did not know him well, Joe was a kind hearted soul. Always willing to help anyone in need. Never quick tempered and as intelligent as they come. Loyal, true and tough when needed to be. Instant friends that grew up together doing what locos do. The late night basketball games... working the hot kitchen of Prices Chef, hanging out at the house, and cruising the streets of Corpus are just some of the things we'd do as we walked this path of life. It is a blessing and an honor to have known this man I call my brother. He left this earth too soon but God needs him now. Joe will always be in our thoughts and never will be forgotten. I am heartbroken. Untill we meet again, keep the grill on. Love you bro.

Joe was like a big brother to me. I have so many childhood memories of him. I last went to visit him in 2015. It had been some time since I had seen him prior to that. But, he opened the door when I knocked and welcomed me in just like he always used to. (I used to skip school and go hang out with my sister, Angelica, and him 🤦🏽‍♀️) . He never judged. He always listened and gave his advise. He will forever have a special place in my heart. I wish I could be there in person today to pay my respects and say good-bye. I will be thinking about The Diaz family and everyone back home who knew him. I send warm hugs to each and every one of you.
Love,
Mari
