Born July 15, 1948, in Laureles, Texas, Jose was the son of Jose Rodriguez and Concepcion Cruz. He was raised with strong family values and carried those values throughout his life. He earned his GED from TSTC and dedicated his career to farming, taking pride in providing for the people he loved.
Jose was united in marriage to his beloved wife, San Juanita Rodriguez. Together, they built a life centered around family. He was a proud father to Regina (Shawn) Sultz, Josephine Reyes, Randy Rodriguez, Rhonda (Javier) Pesina, Adolf Rodriguez, Jacqueline (Ruben) Alaniz and Crystal Rodriguez. His family continued to grow, and he was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
One of Jose's greatest accomplishments was building the home where he raised his family, as well as helping build his parents' home. He treasured watching his grandchildren begin college and seeing his family grow and succeed. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Jose enjoyed gardening, driving around, collecting antiques, and learning about history, facts, and family history. One of his favorite traditions was taking his children and grandchildren to look at Christmas lights. His favorite colors were black and blue, but the brightest part of his life was always his family.
Jose's faith was an important part of his life. He loved God, his wife, his parents, and his extended family deeply. He believed in being there for others and taught those around him that family should always support and care for one another.
Jose will be remembered for his love, generosity, dedication, and the example he set for his family. Above all, he wanted his family to remember how much he loved them and to always be there for each other.
His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him. His family takes comfort in knowing that the love he gave them will continue through every generation.
