

Jose Armando 'Coche' Soriano, 65, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was called to be with the Lord early Saturday morning on May 8, 2010. Jose was born July 30, 1944 in San Diego, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from San Diego High School, served in the Air Force, worked as a pipefitter at the Naval Air Station for 38 years. After retiring he worked for Corpus Christi Independent School District Transportation Department for two years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reymundo and Maria E. Soriano; a sister, Carmen Alaniz and his parent-in-laws, Francisco and Olivia Garcia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Elda G. Soriano; four children, Joel (Shirley) Soriano of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jose Armando (Marivel) Soriano of Falfurrias, John A. (Vicky) Soriano, Vanessa (Rene) Benavidez, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Reymundo (Kena) Soriano, Jr. of San Diego, Carlos (Betty) Soriano of Alice, Texas; three sisters, Sylvia (Rodolfo) Perez, Alva (Frank) Garcia, both of San Diego, Texas and Odilia (Vicente) Molina of Laredo, Texas. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his pride and joy, Rockie, (Multie Poodle); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Soriano, Frankie Garcia, Roman Alaniz, Manuel Garcia, Albert Reyes and Carlos Molina.
