Josefina’s life was rooted in devotion to home and family—as a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother -offering steady guidance and care through the years. Those closest to her knew her as a constant source of support, a trusted advisor and mentor, and above all a loving presence whose counsel and encouragement could be relied upon.
She married David L. Seaton on May 6, 1963. In the years that followed, Josefina often spoke fondly of how she met her husband, keeping those memories close and sharing them with warmth. She also cherished simple joys: shopping trips with her grandkids, watching her great grandkids play, enjoying TV dramas, and spending quiet time playing solitaire. Her love was also expressed through the meals she made—especially her special dishes of pancit, chicken, adobo, and pork fried rice.
Josefina is survived by her daughter, Elenita Candia; her granddaughters, Elisa Hershey and Daniela Candia. She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Seaton.
A Committal Service will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410, on July 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
The family extends sincere gratitude to Michelle and Rachel, nurses from Hospice, and to Elisa granddaughter and Adam, Son in Law, for their care, support, and kindness.
