Joshua Jason Garcia

Joshua was born to Jason Ray Garcia and Stephanie Ann Castro, June 19, 2002, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from West Oso High School in 2020.

He is survived by: His mother Stephanie Castro (Santiago), His father Jason Garcia (Vanessa). Siblings-Roel Garcia (Morgan), Jewelz Merzade Castro, Jacob Romeo Garcia, Kaylina Garcia, Jason Garcia Jr, Arianna Garcia, Leilani Garcia. Grandparents- Maria Cerda, Benita Garcia, Romeo Garcia (Consuelo). His nephews- Ramiro Flynn Garcia and Renzo Michael Garcia. He also leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Jennifer Cerda(David), Pauline Cerda, Miguel Cerda(Brenda), Maria Leandra Cerda, David Garcia. And many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by Jasmine Alyssa Garcia (sister), Ramiro G Cerda (Grandfather), and Ramiro Cerda Jr (Uncle).

Joshua worked for Amazon as a delivery driver. Joshua also worked at Whataburger and HEB and made lots of friends there. He also worked seasonally at Guitar Center which was his favorite job and absolute passion.

Joshua enjoyed playing with his band Random Rejects, and his love of music extended beyond performance into the private, reflective work of journaling and writing songs. He also loved to read, and his appreciation for stories and ideas was part of what made him such a mindful, attentive soul.

He treasured time outdoors as well—especially hanging out at the beach and taking trips to the Frio River. Joshua also enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his friends, building the kind of bonds that are made through laughter, loyalty, and shared interests. At home, he enjoyed playing board games with his brother and sisters, creating memories rooted in togetherness and the warmth of family time.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, US, on June 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Rosary at the same location on June 8, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Funeral Service will take place at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, US, on June 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Committal at the same location on June 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, and a Reception there on June 9, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
