There are so many wonderful things to say about this amazing Lady. Her Faith supplied her with a natural glow, she was always smiling. She was the best cook, ever, and made the BEST Iced sweet Tea. Taking care of her family was top priority on this wife, & Mother’s list. I’m sure she was the same with Grandchildren. She was always available to listen anytime someone had a problem. I was Blessed to have known this Lady. Rest In Peace, sweet Lady.

The sweetest lady I have ever known. Even during and after us kids created all kinds of havoc in and around the neighborhood, firm but ever so lovingly she would get on to us. May she rest in peace. My heart breaks for you all. I wish I could be there to celebrate her life with you. She was an amazing women. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Joy was such a great example of who a Christian is & so loved by her family & friends. She was a hard worker, had a strong faith in God & loved being surrounded by her family. She came from a musical family & loved when they sang together, played guitars, accordian, piano & they sure made beautiful music together. We all have wonderful memories & will cherish those times we spent with her. She was loved & will be missed. Verna Quinn & Family

Joy took me into her home 2 years ago when I was in transition and she treated me like family, even though she had never met me prior to that. In the few months I was with her, we prayed together, sang hymns together and shared many meals together. Her love for the Lord was evident in everything she did. She missed her husband tremendously and I take great comfort knowing they are reunited. She leaves a wonderful legacy in her beautiful family.😇💕

I am a very close friend of this Placker family. Mrs Placker was the nicest mother around our neighborhood. And I’ll always remember her sweet tea. She always made me feel like family while at their home. Right up the street on Vernon. Absolutely the most sweetest, kindest, and Christian woman around. She’s gonna be dearly missed by all who knew her. Prayers for Billy, Joyce Faye, and Patsy along with the rest of her family. May she Rest In Peace 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
