Joyce was in Job Corps. She was a single mom who worked hard her whole life to provide for the family. Joyce had an accounting degree, and she always had a job. Beginning with Light House for the Blind, Globe, First City Bank to HEB Corp where she worked till they moved the office to San Antonio, TX. Joyce worked in one of their stores after that until she developed arthritis and was forced to retire.
Joyce was a cat person, Priscilla(best cat ever) BB, Snowball and Kasper, I got along with all except her last, Kasper, who didn't like to share, I always told Kasper if Mom went first, she was going with her ready or not...Kasper chose not to wait.. Kasper passed away July 2nd.
Joyce worked Her whole life and never had much time for fun, so if I was going to a concert or taking the twins to an event I always made sure to include her, be it a movie, a radio event ,Disney on ice or a road trip, I made sure she had the option of going. Joyce really enjoyed being out with Jasi, Chris and myself and my friends who all loved and adored her. She was a doll and would do anything for friends and family, she didn't know how to say no.. so I had to do that and I had no problem there..my mom would give u her last dollar, I saw to it that She kept 25 cents for herself I wouldn't allow her to be taken advantage of.
I gave my mom a cell phone years ago and she finally got the hand of it, even got hooked on candy crush and Jewel, but she insisted on keeping her landline even after I moved her in with me, it was always a running gag with us, I'd be inches from the phone when it ring and I'd let it, she'd come from another room and ask didn't u hear the phone, I'd say that's your phone, no one who needs to talk to me will be dialing that number...she'd just shake her head, Heaven gained an Angel, and we lost ours.
