Juan Silva Garcia, loving father, awesome cool uncle and beloved friend entered eternal rest on November 10, 2020 at age 62 after complicated health issues.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe Leal Garcia Sr., Rafaela S. Gonzales; step-parents, Victor Gonzales Sr., Teodora Garcia; brothers, Felipe Garcia, Santiago Garcia, Felipe Garcia Jr.; sister, Maria Theresa Romero.

He is survived by his former wife, Rosario Maldonado, mother to his only child (daughter) Annette Garcia Moreno (Adalberto); 5 grandchildren, Melissa A Mendoza, Marco F Mendoza III, Matthau A Alvarez, Sofía Y Moreno and Abigail Y Moreno along with his siblings, Elualia Garcia, Aurora Loredo, San Juanita Campos, Ramona Diaz, Juliana Gonzalez, Victor Gonzales Jr.,Mary Guadalupe Mendez, Elisa Garcia, Stephanie Garcia and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles whom all loved and adored him.

Juan was a hard-working man who loved his family and enjoyed great company along with his cold beer in hand,he enjoyed cooking and caring for all his nieces and nephews he is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel-Cheyenne on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm with a Memorial service at 2:00 pm. Services conclude after.

Biography

Juan Silva Garcia was a natural leader whose winning presence allowed him to take control of various situations with ease. Equipped with a clear and calculating focus, he possessed a tough-minded, “take charge” attitude. He had the ability to make even routine situations seem exciting, and he was at ease with the role of playing problem solver. Juan always sought out the scene of where the action was. Sociable, analytical and pleasant, Juan was an individual who enjoyed life’s challenges.

       His parents were Felipe L Garcia and Rafaela S Gonzales. Juan was raised in Corpus Christi TX. Always able to express himself well, Juan possessed strong interpersonal skills. He was optimistic in his outlook on life and was able at all times to be open and direct in his communication. Armed with a great wit, Juan was raised to be accepting of others and to implement a strong personal work ethic.

      Blessed with a balanced attitude, Juan was able to relate well with others. His occasional role as family mediator gave him the opportunity to ease tense situations when they occurred. Juan was raised with thirteen siblings, Elualia Garcia, Aurora Loredo, Felipe Garcia, San Juanita Campos, Ramona Diaz, Juliana Gonzalez, Victor Gonzales Jr.,Mary Guadalupe Mendez, Felipe Garcia Jr., Santiago Garcia, Elisa Garcia, Stephanie Garcia. Juan had a strong desire to be treated fairly and would readily offer others the same fairness in return.

    A good listener with an engaging personality, Juan was able to bring pleasure and unexpected humor to the relationship.

      Very much like a kid himself, Juan identified with the inquisitive and creative side of his children’s personalities. He was able to direct his energy and spontaneity towards helping his children acquire added common sense skills. Juan was blessed with one daughter Annette Garcia. He was also blessed with five grandchildren, Melissa, Marco, Matthau, Sofia and Abigail.

      Juan was a flexible worker who was able to draw the best from others around him. A persuasive individual who was quick to make necessary decisions, Juan’s strengths included being able to think on his feet. He could be a leader who sought impact for his decisions. Gifted with an incredible ability to read body language, Juan was able to positively manipulate situations and motivate others in order to get a task completed. He was a good negotiator who enjoyed new challenges. Juan could multi-task, and he was endowed with entrepreneurial spirit, allowing him to think beyond standard norms when it came to resolving issues in his work environment. His primary occupation was General Contractor.

      Juan enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were cooking and caring for his family. He was content with watching Lifetime Movie Channel and The Young and the Restless one of his all time favorite movies was "The Blindside". Juan was a family man who helped care for many of his nieces and nephews.

       Favorite vacations included visiting his daughter in San Antonio TX.

      Juan passed away on November 10, 2020 at Corpus Christi Medical Center The Heart Hospital. After suffering a massive heart attack in March of 2019 Juan loss his battle to complications that came after his slow recovery he was a fighter til the end. He is survived by his only child Annette Garcia Moreno, His five grandchildren Melissa,Marco,Matthau, Sofia and Abigail. Services were held at Funeraria Del Angel Funeral Home. Juan ashes will be cared for by his daughter.

      Juan was the kind of person who could win others over easily. A concrete communicator, he relied on his senses to increase his involvement and awareness of others, offering a seemingly endless supply of quips, anecdotes, jokes and stories. If Juan had a theme song written about him, it might well have been “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” He enjoyed his life and the experience of living it. This is how everyone will remember Juan Silva Garcia.
