Kenneth Iler Lawrimore was born November 30, 1949, in Corinth, Alcorn Co., Mississippi, to the late Charlton Coleman and Mary (Ellison) Lawrimore, owners of the old North Pole Pharmacy in Calallen, Texas.
He was educated in the Corpus Christi Independent School District, graduated from King High School in 1967, and attained an Associate’s Degree from Del Mar College in 1969 followed by a B. S. in Pharmacy from the University of Houston in 1973.
Ken was a long time pharmacist in Corpus Christi from the early 1970s to the present, working for Parr Drug, Krogers, Eckerds Pharmacy and finally CVS pharmacy at Saratoga & Staples. He loved his work, his coworkers and helping his customers most of all. If you needed anything, he was there for you. He loved to drive and never got lost. Ken enjoyed anything having to do with cars from an early age. He also enjoyed working out to stay fit.
He married his longtime friend and classmate, Catherine, on November 21, 1975. They traveled on vacation annually, visiting relatives in Georgia and Arizona.
Surviving Ken are: his wife, Catherine (Warren) Lawrimore; son, Craig W. Lawrimore (and wife Vanessa Roberts); and stepson, Tyler Eberhart of Corpus Christi; his sister, Charlene (and husband Howard) Robinson of Marrietta, Georgia; his niece, Lisa (and husband Shep) Stahel; grandnephew Robert Justice; and grandniece, Sidney Justice, of Fayetteville, Georgia; his nephew, Dr. H.
