Larry Norman Villareal passed away December 13, 2023 . He was born March 30, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Tx. Larry was a graduate of Miller High School and Del Mar junior, college. He retired from CCISD after 30 years as an elementary, physical education teacher/ coach. Larry was a drummer for different numerous Tejano bands with the majority of his volunteer efforts for the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi, Tx .
Larry was married to Grace Delgado Villareal on June 27, 1992 and together they became foster parents for approximately 32 children. Larry was a devoted husband and father who was known to many as “coach”.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Villareal and Mary Gonzales-Villareal, his sister, Irma Villareal-Elizondo, and his brother-in-law Johnny Elizondo, his two brothers, Oscar Villareal (Irma Villareal) and Ruben Villareal.
Larry is survived by his wife, Grace Delgado Villareal and his daughter, Adriana Grace Villarreal and a loving family.
Larry will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, coach and a friend to all.
Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel- Memorial Holly on 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX at 9-11 am. A mass and rosary will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church on 710 S 19th St. Corpus Christi, Texas at 12 pm.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for Lunch (on your own) at the at the U&I restaurant on 309 South Water St. , Corpus Christi, Texas.
