Leda F. LaPlanche

Leda Faye LaPlanche, 90, passed away October 2, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born December 13, 1920 to Anthony Ladelfa and Frances Worthington Ladelfa in El Paso, Texas. Leda loved music and enjoyed singing. She was a friend to everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Ladelfa and Frances Worthington Ladelfa; son, Trenton Weatherford; brother, Clarence Berley;

sister-in-law, Hazel Berley.

Leda is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann (Steve) Wofford of Wellston, Oklahoma, and Mary F. (Jessie) Hale Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Thelma (Edward) Pendell of San Antonio, Texas; daughter-in-law, Mary Weatherford of Wisconsin; five grandchildren, JoJo Hale III, Mandy Hale, David Hart, Stacey Russell, and Cindy Weatherford; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2011 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Duncan Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to staff at Trisun-Westwood Nursing Home and Lighthouse Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
