Leslie Anderson Wilson, 71, passed away on August 8, 2026. Born in Carmel, New York, on April 22, 1955, Leslie carried through life a steady courage and an open-hearted spirit—meeting each season with sincerity, compassion, and a kindness that made others feel seen and safe. She was a cherished presence to those who knew and loved her.
Leslie earned a BA in Psychology/Science from TAMUCC, as well as an Associate’s degree in Sociology from WCJC. Her commitment to understanding people and standing up for them shaped a meaningful career as a Disability/Autism Advocate, where her honesty and steadfast resolve reflected a deep belief in justice, human and personal rights, and expression.
In her personal life, Leslie’s warmth showed in the simple, lasting joys she shared so generously. She loved animals, baking, crafting, reading, sewing when she was younger, and spending time with her family. She also loved going on adventures, and she was famously obsessed with shoes. Many will remember her for the comfort of her kitchen—especially her best meatloaf recipes—and for the way she loved teaching others to cook and bake her recipes, turning everyday moments into lasting memories.
Leslie was a proud member of Pals for Dogs, Moms of Autism, and For the Love of Strays, LLC. Her compassion was not passive; it was active and enduring, expressed through care for animals and unwavering support for friends and family alike. A self-proclaimed hippie and free spirit, she was also known for her sharp wit, her sarcasm, and her ability to find positivity. She offered the kind of advice that came from love—sometimes calling you out on your behavior—yet always with the rare gift of being someone you could tell anything to without fear of judgement. She accepted others as long as they were safe and happy, and she remained a fierce activist for anything she believed in.
Leslie is preceded in death by her Father, Herbert O. Anderson; her mother, Alice Forrester; and her cousin, Cathrine. She is survived by her son, Bruce M. Ralston, and her daughters, Allie Irvine and Jessica Ann; her brother, Bruce F. Anderson; and her grandchildren, Celeste Marie Ralston (Christian Cormier), Jae Nicole Ralston (Anthony Morgan), Logan Ralston, Cristofer Ralston, and Alexzander Ralston.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, on August 18, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
