Lilia L. Abrego

Lilia L. Abrego, 75 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on December 22, 2012 at the age of 75. She was born on May 31, 1937 to Basilio and Maria Lopez in Laredo, Texas. She worked for the Corpus Christi State School for many years where she was known for her love and compassion of children. She will be remembered for her love of music, dancing and her incredible sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lilia was preceded in death by her husband, Melquiades Abrego; parents; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include; two daughters, Rosie (Pete) Gutierrez and Patricia (Javier) Villa; 1 son, Gabriel (Juany) Abrego; 11 grandchildren, Irene (Frank) Rodriguez, Stephanie (Daniel) Meza, Michael (Tania) Gutierrez, Lorraine (Alex) Ybanez, Leslie Villa, Olivia and Gabriel Abrego; 9 great-grandchildren; two sister, Lupe (Felix) Moncevais and Gloria Lopez; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the 3rd floor ICU staff at Spohn Shoreline for the love and care they gave to their mom in her time of need.

Public visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Funeraria de

Angel-Memorial Holly with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
