Linda Faye Bearden passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on August 10, 2021. She was born on October 3, 1943. She was a Corpus Christi native who was a wonderful “Granny” and touched the lives of many people.
Linda and her husband, Donald attended Sundeen High School together in Corpus Christi. They had 4 children and were married for 54 beautiful years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her children and family. She enjoyed sewing, arts, crafts, and creating flower arrangements for weddings, parties, and other events. She coached Little Miss Kickball and participated in many fundraisers for CCISD, political campaigns, and other local charities.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Bearden Sr.; parents, Raymond Alvin and Millie Faye Thompson; sister, Raye Ann Tonnon.
She leaves her loving memories to her children, Donald R. Bearden Jr. (Sharon), Melanie Pyles, Michael Bearden (Lisa), Wendy Benderman; brother, William “Willie” Thompson; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of extended family and friends.
We are extremely grateful to the Christus Spohn Family Medicine Academic Center for the excellent medical care that she received these past few years. We appreciate the wonderful nurses and doctors that cared for her in the ICU at Christus Spohn Shoreline.
Family will receive friends on at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
