Linda O. Schonefeld

Linda was born to Leamon and Libby Oliver, March 1, 1945, in Robstown, TX. She married C.E. “Butch” Schonefeld in 1970, and they built a beautiful life together, raising their three children.

She is survived by her daughters Alana Manrow and Shanna Rowell (David), her grandsons, Nathan Manrow, Christopher Manrow, Kyle Rowell, Yohanes Rowell, Musse Rowell, Nicholas Schonefeld, her brother, John Oliver, her favorite nephew, Randall Oliver and her dear friend, Maria Gonzalez. She also leaves to cherish her memory, several friends, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Butch Schonefeld and her son, David Schonefeld.

Linda worked as a bank teller and a librarian but spent most of her time loving and caring for her beloved husband and children. She enjoyed cooking/baking, decorating for the holidays, and shopping for great deals. She was also actively involved in her church and children’s schools. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, generous heart, and her gentle way of caring for others. She never met a stranger and no one turned down her amazing culinary skills!

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, US, on May 31, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Rosary at the same location on May 31, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1302 Lantana St, Corpus Christi, TX 78407, US, on June 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Committal at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, US, on June 1, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Theresa Catholic Church. The family would also like to thank Maria Gonzalez for her tireless care and unwavering love of Linda and her family.
