She leaves behind her children Elizabeth Akins, Marie Dugosh, Laura Bronstad, James Dugosh, Heather Elliott, Tre Elliott, Gennie Elliott Skeeter, Mike Elliott. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her many grandchildren Tyler, Abby, Myranda, Rebekah, Rachel, Kendell, Jaxon, Landon, Alexis, Emily, Evan, Danelle, Jordan, Anthony, Amya, Presten, Dayna, Amber, Dylan, Meagan, Kyle, Calvin, Alexandria, Mckenzie, and her 20 great grandchildren and counting who each held a special place in her heart. Her passing is mourned by her brothers Gary and Frank Burdett.
Lona had a beautiful appreciation for the little thing in life. She could often be found with a crochet project in her hands, a book nearby, or creating something with her imagination. She loved to draw and even tried her hand at sculpting. She was always curious, always creating, and never afraid to try something new. She also had an eclectic taste in movies, one of her favorites was Jurassic Park and you could always find her falling asleep to Godzilla. She loved watching Westerns, with John Wayne among her favorites. She loved listening to oldies' music and especially enjoyed Elvis. She relished dancing, laughter, and those moments when everyone she loved was together. On holidays she taught every child all the recipes they would one day make themselves and created traditions that will continue around family tables for years to come.
Her life was not measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the love she gave so freely and the lives she touched. She was the kind of woman whose presence made people fell at home. She was a safe place and a source of unconditional love. She may no longer be here to hold hands, dance with them, teach them, or sit beside them but everything she gave them remains. Her love is her legacy. Her family is her masterpiece. And she will be loved for generations to come.
