Lorenzo Garza passed away unexpectedly on Sunday night, March 5, 2018 at the age of 74. Lorenzo was born on August 10, 1943 in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico to Seferino Garza and Josefina Vasquez. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his beloved wife, Grace Garcia Garza and his son, Larry Garza. He is survived by his son, Ovidio (OV) Garza; one sister, Rosa “Chita” Palacios from Laredo, Texas and sons, Jose R., Horacio G., Romeo and Rosa; granddaughter, Ashley LeeAnn Garza; daughter in law, Adelina; sister in law, Ida (David) Longoria; two brother in laws, Amado (Palmira) and Gilbert (Sylvia) Garcia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lorenzo served honorably in The United States Air Force. Since his discharge Lorenzo worked at Corpus Christi Army Depot NAS. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Lorenzo, my dear friend. Though I only had the privilege of knowing you for two years, you were a true Brother. I felt I knew you always. That’s the impact you had on me when we met. Long Live Lackland A.F. B.
