He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 53 years, Agustina Norma Balderas Castillo and granddaughter, Katherine Jude Flowers.
Luis proudly served his country in the US Army as Sargent during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his children, Deby Botello (JR DeAnda), Janette Flowers and Joseph G. Castillo. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, James A. Botello (Lisa), Jonathan Botello (Crystal) and Kristen Flowers and three great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Funeraria Del Angel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park with military honors.
