Luis Sifuentes, age 91, a man of Wisdom, Honor, and an infectious Smile joined our beautiful mother in our Lord’s Kingdom on January 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. An extremely Proud and Patriotic American who was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather and above all a Man of Faith, as he clearly demonstrated to all who came to know him during the last 7 years at Windsor Rehab Nursing Facility. The staff grew to admire Him and provide tender loving care. We, the family witnessed and felt the unconditional and passionate kindness for our Father. We will forever be Thankful to them. As expressed by one of his Care Takers: “My heart is breaking for ALL of you. I wish there was something I could do. It was my PLEASURE to have taken care of him. He taught me so much as a nurse, I will forever have him in my heart and will ALWAYS remember and Love Him. There will never be anyone like Mr. Sifuentes!” We would also like to extend our genuine gratitude to Selah Hospice care. A special thanks to Ashley whose compassion and continuous care made our Father’s passage into paradise a peaceful one.

Luis was born in Corpus Christi, TX to Ponciano Sifuentes & Isidra Sanchez on June 21, 1927. He was one of seven children and at a very young age took on the responsibility to provide for his family. He embraced the Sacrament of Marriage by dedicating 66 years of his life to his Loving Wife and our Mother, Maria.

He instilled his insurmountable work ethic in his children, which was proven by volunteering to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, his employment at Gulf Compress for 30 years as Foreman of Operations, and Andrews Distributing for 8 years.

He is survived by 9 loving children whom he raised into dedicated and respectable Christians who will proudly continue his legacy: Carlos F Lomas (deceased), Luis (Rosemary) Sifuentes Jr, Corpus Christi, Dr. Jorge Luis (Linda) Sifuentes Lima OH, Oscar (Sharon) Sifuentes Cocoa FL, Gilbert (Mary Helen) Sifuentes Corpus Christi, Javier (Celia) Sifuentes Corpus Christi, Rolando (Dee) Sifuentes Corpus Christi, Sylvia (Efrain) Franco Corpus Christi, Esmeralda (Dan) Porras Woodsboro, Alejandro – Budda-lou (Rosie) Sifuentes Corpus Christi, TX. He is additionally survived by 26 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren.
