She is born on December 20, 1952 to Emilio Garcia, Jr. and Olivia Hinojosa.
Luz Alma loved sitting outside and working on her garden. She was a faithful Christian who loved serving the Lord.
Luz Alma loved her husband, her children, her brothers and sisters, especially her grandchildren that she loved to spoil. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Sergio Martin Garcia; her daughter, Michelle Garcia and one sister, Maria Rosie Alvarez.
Luz Alma leaves her memories to be cherished by her loving husband of 45 years, Sergio Barrera Garcia; two daughters, Olivia (Brian) Schmidt of Bastrop, Texas and Daughter, Myra Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Makayla Michelle Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Brian Schmidt, III and Elliana Schmidt; one brother, Ramon David Garcia of California and three sisters, Maria Ruby Rodriguez, Maria Lupe Garcia both of Corpus Christi, Texas and Rosa Carmina Alvarez of Kingsville, Texas.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
