Manuel O. Luna, 77, passed away on October 14, 2026. Born May 25, 1949, in Laredo, Texas, Manuel was the son of Octaviano Luna and Herminia Cantu Luna. He later made his home in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he built a life marked by steady devotion to family, faith, and the simple joys that bring meaning to everyday living.
Manuel graduated from Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas, and continued his education at Del Mar College, where he earned his degree in Welding—work that reflected his practical skill, patience, and pride in doing things the right way. He also served time in the U.S. Army, a chapter of his life remembered with respect and gratitude.
In 1983, Manuel married Rosalinda in Corpus Christi, Texas. Together they shared a life rooted in commitment and enduring love, surrounded by family and strengthened by their faith. Manuel was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas, where his quiet presence and steadfast belief were part of the community he valued.
Manuel found peace and happiness in the things he loved most: painting, playing his guitar, and fishing. He owned his own boat, and time on the water was a source of calm and contentment—an unhurried place where his appreciation for life’s beauty could be felt without needing many words.
Manuel is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Luna; his daughter, Sara Gonzalez (Elias); his son, Marcos Luna; his granddaughter, Araceli Gonzalez; his grandson, Joseph Gonzalez; his sisters, Ernestina Hernandez, Bealah Hernandez, Elodia Rios, Rosa Maria Hernandez, Olga Luna, and Laura Flores; and his half-brother, Pedro Mata.
