He was employed by Christus Spohn Memorial Medical Center he was called “El Sonny”. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his eight –children: Manuel Mendez, Jr., Yvonne Elizondo, Sylvia Cabrera, Phillip Mendez, Julie Mendez, Michelle Mendez, Robert Mendez, Ryan Mendez, and Melissa Mendez. Mr. Mendez also leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved grandchildren, brothers, sisters and a host of friends.
Family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Funeraria del Angel-549 Cheyenne, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Funeraria del Angel- 549 Cheyenne, service to conclude.
