Manuel was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas; specifically he prided himself being from the Molina area. As a young man, he had a passion for baseball and played often throughout his youth. His other pastimes included, traveling and seeing the world, driving through the Hill Country with his wife on his beloved motorcycle (he had a love for Harleys), gambling, and dancing Tejano. Those that knew him can still hear him quoting how he was the “Greatest dancer in the world”. He was known to be quick with a joke and keeping the crowd laughing. Manuel was a true service man and a proud veteran. With honor, he served in the United States Army for over 5 years. Upon his departure from the military, he ventured into other serviceable occupations such as being a Corpus Christi Police Officer, Park Ranger, and Probation Officer.
Simply stated, Manuel was compassionate, warm and thoughtful man; a pillar to his family. A man who treasured being with his wife, children and grandchildren. He cherished them deeply. The void left by his parting will be deeply felt by all who knew him and those who had the privilege of creating and sharing memories with him.
Those having the honor to serve as pallbearers are, Javier Pedroza, Jacob Guerrero, Nicholas Martinez, Cristian Martinez, Jason Pena and Gillermo Catalan.
