Marcos Ramirez Trevino, 89, was born on April 25, 1930 in Pearsall, TX. At the age of 18 Marcos joined the United States Army where he proudly served during the Korean War. After seven years of service and an honorable discharge, Marcos set down his roots in Corpus Christi, TX. During his years of service, on Christmas of 1950 while on leave, he met his beloved wife Linda Cruz Trevino. He and Linda were wed on July 22, 1951 and were blessed with a beautiful marriage of 68 years. In 1961, he became a member of the Corpus Christi Fire Department where he bravely served for 26 years until retirement. Marcos greatly enjoyed being involved in the community through the Pan American Golf Association, American Legion, and the Corpus Christi Professional Fire Fighters Association. He found great joy in playing golf with family and friends, hunting, spending time with family, and traveling with the love of his life. In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. Marcos went peacefully with God on December 31, 2019 while surrounded by family.
