Margaret L. Young, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Robstown, Texas, on March 11, 2024, at the age of 82. Margaret was born on October 12, 1941, in Canyon, Texas, as the firstborn to Herschel and Mary Jane Burrus.
In 1962, Margaret married the love of her life and her college sweetheart, Glen, embarking on a remarkable journey of love, companionship, and devotion that spanned over 60 years. Margaret was a dedicated and loving mother to her three children. They were her greatest joy, and her legacy lives on through them.
Margaret’s grandchildren held a special part in her heart, and she cherished every moment with them. Her love knew no bounds, especially in the presence of her great-grandchild, Rohen, whom she adored and doted on.
Faith was the cornerstone of Margaret’s life. She was a devout member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Robstown, Texas, where she found solace, strength, and community. Her faith guided her through life’s trials and triumphs and inspired those around her to live with compassion and grace.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Glen; their three children, Glenda, Carla, and Lance; their son-in-law, Mike; their four grandchildren, Bethany, Jacob, Lina, and Kade; and their great-grandchild, Rohen. She is also survived by her four siblings, Cecilia, James, Mary Alice, and Francis.
